Walk with me to the water,
When it comes my time.
What we saw will not matter,
Just keep your hand in mine.
I’ll cross the water by myself,
I know that’s what I must do.
But the chilling sting won’t be felt,
Because I’ve walked with you.

He is one I follow and I had to go out and find the rest of the poem. He only gave the first line and I wanted the whole thing. He said something like, I bet you would…so knowing me, I found it!

Thank goodness we can walk with others. When we walk alone, we will have their spirit helping us cross the river.

Yes, indeed…how true that walking with others can help the crossing. Daddy saw someone at the window who came for him!
