Dr. Seuss Birthday

Today is the birthday of Dr. Seuss. He wrote the stories we all loved to read with our children. There has been some talk of being weird from some weird blogger up in UP 🙂 so I thought it was fitting to post this quote in honor of all the weird people out there or even those who might think they are a little weird.

My son and daughter loved the series almost as much as I did.

“We are all a little weird and life’s a little weird, and when
we find someone whose weirdness is compatible with ours, we
join up with them and fall in mutual weirdness and call it
love.”

— Dr. Seuss

Happy Birthday, Dr. Seuss, and thank you for all the fun stories.

  1. Dr. Seuss, you are so right. Our weirdness all meets up and we call it love… Just had a funny happening this week. We always woke up our kids in the morning by saying “Up, Up, Up with the fish!” Our daughter always thought we made it up because she had a fish alarm clock. Told her this week to read the Cat in the Hat! She is still in disbelief. Weird.

      1. Oh were you referring to moi? LOL! (It’s a good thing I came back to see what you answered. WordPress is not alerting us of any responses to our comments. At least many of us. I would ask you if you’re getting any notifications but no one will notify me that you answered!)

    1. Yes….aren’t they. I am pleased I still have a grandson that sometimes likes to read Dr. Seuss…he has outgrown them, he thinks since he now reads Harry Potter….he is 9 and has read Potter series 7 times.

  2. Weird is only weird to those who aren’t “in it” with us. Curious who that other blogger is–not a lot curious, mildly.
