Mighty Oaks

Mighty Oaks

Mighty oaks fell gracefully
as the wind howled
among the pines, around the corners
of the house.

Sounds
of pine needles
hitting the windows…
metal roof.
Rocking chairs
dancing
with their
new companion…
howling winds
From their vantage porch front, rocking chairs

Watched mighty oaks
falling gracefully
ending their life with
silent dignity.
